Inside My Toronto Boudoir Studio & Beyond: Your Guide to Stunning Boudoir Sessions

Welcome to Gibson Boudoir!

Hey, gorgeous! If you’re thinking about booking a boudoir session, you might be wondering—where should we shoot? Well, lucky for you, I have not one, not two, but THREE incredible locations to choose from. Whether you’re looking for something moody and dramatic, light and airy, or classic and timeless, I’ve got the perfect space for you.

Gibson Boudoir is based in Burlington, Ontario, and my home studio has been here for over 14 years! With seven different setups in two rooms, plus additional options in Hamilton and Toronto, there’s truly something for everyone. Let’s break it all down so you can choose the perfect setting for your dream boudoir experience.

The Burlington Boudoir Studio – Classic, Timeless, and Versatile

This is my home base, where I’ve created a warm and welcoming space for my clients. My Burlington studio has seven unique setups, giving you so much variety in your final gallery. Here’s what you’ll find:

1. The Black Room – Moody, sultry, and ultra-glam. This setup is perfect if you’re going for high-end, dramatic vibes. Think magazine-worthy shots with deep shadows and a touch of mystery.

2. Dark Brown Wood – Warm, cozy, and rustic. This set feels like a luxury cabin getaway—perfect for those who love deep tones and a little old-Hollywood charm.

3. Boho Beige – Light, neutral, and soft. This one is for my natural, effortless beauty lovers. It’s warm, inviting, and gives a dreamy, ethereal look.

4. Green and Gold – This elegant and rich set used to feature a green couch, but the couch is going! While the decor is shifting, the luxurious gold tones will remain, giving it a modern, chic feel.

5. Red Floral – Bold and romantic. If you love deep reds and dramatic florals, this is the perfect setup to channel your inner goddess, and the silk sheets…perfect!

6. Blue Floral – This one isn’t pictured yet, but trust me, it’s absolutely stunning! Think vintage romance with dark blue hues and a dreamy, feminine touch.

7. Black & White (Featured in Maternity Sessions) – This classic, high-contrast look is incredibly flattering and works beautifully for both boudoir and maternity clients.  It is sleek and classic!

Getting Ready at the Burlington Studio

Before your session, you’ll get pampered right here in my cozy hair and makeup room. With music playing, coffee, tea, pop, and snacks available, it’s the perfect way to relax before we start shooting. If you’re booking a session at my Hamilton or Toronto boudoir studio locations, you’ll want to plan for extra time to stop by Burlington first to get glammed up!

The Hamilton Boudoir Studio – Rustic, Shadowy, and Ultra-Unique

If you’re looking for something a little different, the Hamilton boudoir studio is a great option. Located in Millworks Creative, this space has a rustic, attic-style feel with moody lighting and beautiful textures. There are two main rooms to choose from:

1. The Brick Wall Room – If you love that exposed brick aesthetic, this set is a dream! It’s warm, yet bright, and has some vintage accessories like a clawfoot tub (no water).

2. The Wood Beam Room – A cozy, vintage-inspired space with rich wooden textures. It’s great for creating a sultry, intimate vibe with a little edge.  With a gorgeous skylight.

One thing to note: the decor in this studio changes periodically, so if you love a specific look, let’s chat about what’s currently available!

Also, the Hamilton studio requires an additional rental fee, so be sure to factor that into your budget.

The Toronto Boudoir Studio – Light, Airy, and Romantic

If you’re dreaming of a soft, elegant, bridal-inspired boudoir session, the Toronto boudoir studio at Mint Room Studios is a perfect fit. This space has a light, airy boho aesthetic that’s ideal for a dreamy, feminine vibe.

Bathtub Sessions? Yes, Please!

One of the most unique features of the Toronto location is the bathtub setup! We can fill it with water, bubbles, or even florals for an ultra-romantic look. Brides especially love this set, but honestly, it’s a stunning choice for anyone looking for soft, ethereal images.

Things to Keep in Mind About the Toronto Studio

  • Parking is limited, so we’ll want to plan accordingly.
  • Like the Hamilton studio, this location has an additional rental fee.

If you choose this space and want hair and makeup, you’ll need to stop by the Burlington studio first before heading to Toronto.

Preparing for Your Boudoir Session

Leading up to your session, I’ll send you emails with everything you need to know, including what to bring and how to prepare. If you don’t have specific lingerie or outfits, no worries! You’ll have access to my client closet, which has a variety of beautiful pieces to choose from. We’ll also discuss your vision ahead of time so that if we’re at one of the other studio locations, I can bring items with me.

If you’re bringing your own outfits, I’ll provide a style guide to help you choose the most flattering and photogenic pieces. Whether you love lace, satin, bold colours, or soft neutrals, we’ll make sure your wardrobe reflects your unique beauty.

The Image Reveal – Your Moment of Magic

After your session, the excitement isn’t over! Within a week, you’ll return to my Burlington studio for your image reveal. This is where you’ll get to see all of your stunning images and choose your favourites for albums, wall art, or prints. This moment is often emotional and empowering—you’ll see yourself in a whole new light, and I guarantee you’ll be obsessed with how gorgeous you look!

Choosing the Right Boudoir Studio for You

So, which studio is calling your name? Here’s a quick breakdown to help you decide:

  • Want variety? Burlington is your best bet with its seven different setups.  Its comfortable, and no worries about parking and getting to the studio.
  • Love a rustic, moody vibe? Hamilton’s brick and wood beam rooms will be perfect.
  • Dreaming of light, soft, and romantic? The Toronto boudoir studio is where you’ll want to be—especially if you love the idea of a bathtub session!

No matter which space you choose, you’re going to feel incredible. The most important thing is that you show up, have fun, and trust the process.
